WHAT IS PROJECT UNIFY

Overview:

The goal of Project UNIFY is to use sports and education programs of Special Olympics to activate young people in order to promote school communities where all young people are agents of change- fosteringrespect, dignity and advocacy for people with intellectualdisabilities. Special Olympics believes that through sports young people can make a difference in friendships, schools and communities.

Core Activities:

A school that wishes to partner with Project UNIFY will be asked to participate in at least one of the following events (considered a Building Bridges school) or many events (Project UNIFY school).

17 schools around Wyoming participated in a Spread the Word to End the Word event. This means thousands of students, teachers and staff were exposed to the message of ending the R-word and spreading acceptance! We are very proud to support these students and schools in such a meaningful message. Make sure to contact Allison Harker to get your school involved!
